Beatrice Ng’ondi – Founder and Director
Beatrice Ng’ondi is the Founder and Director of Nyabeko Compassion International, a charity-based organization committed to restoring dignity, hope, and self-reliance among vulnerable populations in Kenya. A passionate advocate for social transformation, Beatrice leads with compassion and purpose, ensuring that Nyabeko’s programs reflect accountability, inclusivity, and lasting community impact.
With a strong background in Public Relations and Communications, community development, and social outreach, Beatrice has dedicated her leadership to empowering the elderly, orphans, persons with disabilities, and caregivers through education, mentorship, and socio-economic empowerment initiatives. Her vision is rooted in creating opportunities that help families rise above vulnerability and achieve sustainable livelihoods.
Beatrice’s commitment to service and excellence continues to shape Nyabeko’s mission of building compassionate communities where every individual—regardless of age, gender, or background—can live with dignity, purpose, and hope.
Philemon Osuroh Okelloh – Vice President
Mr. Philemon Osuroh Okelloh serves as the Vice President of Nyabeko Compassion, bringing extensive experience in Public Health, Community Development, Programme Management, and Financial Systems of Transfers/Recipience And Administration. He is deeply committed to Empowering Vulnerable Communities through Sustainable Development Initiatives, Education Support, and Social Welfare Programs that promote dignity and self-reliance.
Dtr.Okelloh has demonstrated long-standing leadership in community development and programme implementation. He previously served with Hiv/Aids Programme,Care and Suport (HAPAC) International NGO across the Nyanza Region between 2001 and 2004 as a Regional Programmes Financial Director, where he strengthened Programme Accountability and Financial Management Systems to support effective service delivery.
He also worked with the Department of Adult Education as a CLRC Programme Manager at Amillo CLRC and The District Chairman in Rangwe Sub-County, Homa Bay County, contributing significantly to adult learning initiatives and grassroots community empowerment between 1998 and 2004.
Currently, he serves as a Financial Consultant with TINB – Canadian Bank in Kenya, specializing in international funds transfers, bank-to-bank Systems, and International monetization processes. His expertise in financial compliance, accountability, and cross-border resource management strengthens Nyabeko’s operational transparency and sustainability efforts.
At Nyabeko Compassion, Dtr. Okelloh supports strategic leadership, partnerships, and programme oversight, ensuring that the organization’s initiatives remain impactful, accountable, and aligned with its mission of restoring dignity, hope, and wellbeing to vulnerable households.
Philip Okoth – Communications & Partnerships Advisor
Philip serves as Nyabeko Compassion’s Communications & Partnerships Advisor, bringing over eight years of experience in strategic public relations and organizational communication. He is passionate about using communication as a bridge for connection, collaboration, and social impact.
At Nyabeko, Philip supports the organization in shaping clear, compassionate messaging and strengthening partnerships that enhance visibility and sustainability. His strategic insight helps connect donors, partners, and communities in a shared vision of restoring dignity, hope, and wellbeing among the elderly, persons with disabilities, and caregivers.
With his calm professionalism and dedication to excellence, Philip plays a key role in ensuring that Nyabeko’s voice remains authentic, impactful, and centered on compassion
Elsa Auma Owuor – Logistics Officer & Board Member
Elsa serves as Nyabeko Compassion’s Logistics Officer and Secretary of the Committee. An experienced businesswoman and philanthropist, she brings humility, dedication, and strong organizational skills to Nyabeko’s operations.
With extensive experience in business management, Elsa has also served as a Board Member at Aimo Primary School for over five years, where she continues to champion community growth and inclusion.
Her compassion and reliability make her an essential part of Nyabeko’s mission to restore dignity and hope among the elderly, persons with disabilities, and caregivers.
Edward Awuonda – Resource Mobilization Director
Edward serves as Nyabeko Compassion’s Resource Mobilization Director, bringing his strong background in resource mobilization, community development, and partnership building. He is passionate about creating opportunities that empower orphans, widows, the elderly, and other vulnerable groups to live with dignity and self-reliance.
At Nyabeko, Edward leads strategic fundraising efforts, cultivates partnerships with donors and institutions, and champions the rights and dignity of marginalized communities. His leadership ensures that Nyabeko’s programs remain sustainable, impactful, and rooted in accountability and transparency.
With a clear vision for a compassionate and transformed society, Edward integrates professional expertise with a heart for service. He believes in education, mentorship, and economic empowerment as pathways for individuals—regardless of age, gender, or background—to thrive and achieve their full potential. Monica Oyugi – Community Training & Outreach Officer
Monica serves as Nyabeko Compassion’s Community Training & Outreach Officer. A trained teacher with a Certificate in Education from Machakos Teachers Training College and a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Kampala International University, she brings valuable experience in both teaching and community mobilization.
Before joining Nyabeko, Monica worked with Christian Mission Aid (CMA) under the CLEAR Project, where she supported community sensitization on HIV and AIDS awareness and prevention. Her background in social outreach has strengthened her passion for serving vulnerable households with compassion and practical support.
At Nyabeko, Monica focuses on training caregivers and young widows in life skills, mentorship, and psychosocial support—helping them build confidence, resilience, and dignity in their caregiving roles. Her warmth and dedication make her a trusted companion to many families we serve.
Tom Mboya – Programs Director
Tom serves as Nyabeko Compassion’s Programs Director, providing strategic leadership and coordination across all thematic areas. An accomplished fashion designer with a heart for service, he blends creativity, compassion, and purpose in advancing Nyabeko’s mission to restore dignity and hope among the elderly, persons with disabilities, and caregivers.
Known for his kindness and selflessness, Tom uses his design and mentorship skills to empower vulnerable families and promote confidence and inclusion. His dedication continues to shape Nyabeko’s programs into models of excellence, empathy, and sustainable community impact.
Ojino Otieno – Projects Director
Ojino serves as Nyabeko Compassion’s Projects Director, bringing over three decades of experience in architectural design, construction, and community infrastructure. He is also a trained Anaerobic Sanitation Expert with professional qualifications from Kumasi Technical University, Ghana.
At Nyabeko, Ojino provides strategic oversight for the planning, coordination, and implementation of projects that enhance the wellbeing of the elderly, persons with disabilities, and caregivers. His technical expertise ensures that all Nyabeko initiatives meet high standards of safety, accessibility, and sustainability.
Guided by strong Christian values of fairness, kindness, and goodwill to humanity, Ojino is dedicated to creating dignified, inclusive environments that reflect Nyabeko’s mission of restoring hope and improving quality of life for vulnerable households.
Christine Ogeto – International Partnerships & Resource Mobilization Director
Christine serves as Nyabeko Compassion’s International Partnerships and Resource Mobilization Director, bringing her extensive expertise in social policy, community mobilization, resource mobilization, and partnership building.
At Nyabeko, Christine leads efforts to forge strategic partnerships, mobilize resources, and drive initiatives that expand the organization’s reach and impact. Her leadership ensures that Nyabeko’s programs remain sustainable, accountable, and transformative.

Rose Otaye – Community Health & Psychosocial Support Officer
Rose serves as Nyabeko Compassion’s Community Health & Psychosocial Support Officer, bringing her background as a counselor and Community Health Promoter attached to Mukuru Health Center. She is passionate about walking alongside the elderly, persons with disabilities, and caregivers—helping them access not only health services but also the dignity of emotional and spiritual care.
At Nyabeko, Rose supports vulnerable families through psychosocial counseling, mentorship, and practical assistance. She advocates for access to basic needs such as education support and health resources, while also empowering households with skills that promote resilience and self-reliance.
With additional training as a Trainer of Trainers under Barwaqa Relief Organization and as a chaplain, Rose integrates professional counseling, skills empowerment, and spiritual guidance. Her compassion and hands-on experience make her an invaluable part of Nyabeko’s mission to restore dignity, hope, and wellbeing among the elderly, PWDs, and their caregivers.
Venoliah Kennedy – Digital Systems & Communications Officer
Venoliah serves as Nyabeko Compassion’s Digital Systems & Communications Officer, bringing her background in computer science and cybersecurity from Strathmore University. She is passionate about using technology to strengthen the organization’s work with the elderly, persons with disabilities, and caregivers.
At Nyabeko, Venoliah helps build digital tools that improve communication, data management, and transparency in service delivery. She also supports awareness and storytelling efforts that share the impact of Nyabeko’s programs with compassion and authenticity.
Her calm professionalism and innovative spirit make her a valued member of the team—ensuring that technology becomes a bridge of dignity and hope for the communities Nyabeko serves.
Hezekiah Oyugi- IT and Digital Presence
Since the inception of Nyabeko Compassion International, He has been a dedicated volunteer web designer, a journey that has profoundly shaped his approach to design.
Hezekiah has been involved in blending creative vision with robust technical execution to build a visually engaging and highly functional Nyabeko’s website that serves a vital purpose. His commitment goes beyond aesthetics, focusing on creating an accessible and intuitive user experience that clearly communicates Nyabeko’s mission and drives community support.
Through this experience, it has honed his ability to align design with a powerful and compassionate brand message, turning Nyabeko’s digital space into a tool for social good.
Okoth Herman Bunde – Legal Advisor
Mr. Okoth Herman Bunde serves as Nyabeko Compassion’s Legal Advisor, bringing extensive expertise in legal advisory, litigation, and policy development. He is deeply committed to advancing justice, promoting good governance, and protecting the rights and dignity of vulnerable groups, including the elderly, widows, and persons with special needs.
With a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B Hons) from Kisii University, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law, and a Master of Laws (LL.M) from the University of Nairobi specializing in Human Rights, Mr. Bunde combines professional excellence with a strong advocacy for social inclusion.
At Nyabeko, he provides strategic legal guidance while also engaging hands-on in program implementation, ensuring that initiatives are ethically sound, compliant, and impactful. Beyond his advisory role, he contributes to mentorship and legal education, having served as a part-time lecturer at Kisii University School of Law. His dedication, insight, and active involvement make him a key driver in Nyabeko’s mission to restore dignity, hope, and wellbeing to vulnerable households.
